Wijayaratnam Sabaratnam passed away peacefully on May 16 th , 2022. He is now at rest with Lord Ganesha. Son of the late Sabaratnam and late Annamal, beloved husband of Puvaneswary, son in law of the late Bagawathy Amma and the late Nagalingam, proud father of Renuha and Subitha, devoted father in law of Nadanasabesan and Puvanendrakumar (Ruban), adored grandfather of Priyanha, Ajetha, Sanjeev and Sahana, loving brother of the late Navaratnam, the late Pancharatnam, the late Nagulasingaratnam, beloved brother in law of Bama, Parameswary, Gnaneswary, the late Rajeswary, Sathiamorthy, Naguleswary, Logeswary, Thavarajah, the late Maheswary and the late Pushparani.
Wijayaratnam Sabaratnam was a strong willed, determined and intelligent presence. He is a proud graduate from Hartley College in Sri Lanka where he was an accomplished athlete and student leader. He finished his degree in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at University of Colombo Sri Lanka. He went on to have a long career in Social Services, Education, and Management. He loved educating others about planetary positions, loudly watching tennis and soccer, and playing with his grandkids. He made an impression no matter where he went, and was a walking encyclopedia of pharmaceutical knowledge. He cared deeply about the health of all his loved ones and was intensely connected to his own divinity.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 18 th , from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at The Douglass Funeral Home in Lexington, MA. A funeral service will be held on May 19 th at the same location, starting at 10 am, with cremation services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Minuteman Senior Services or the Alzheimer's Association .
