Dowd, William H.,  Jr. of Beverly, MA, formerly of Watertown, CT, January 19, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Joan M. Dowd (Flaherty). Devoted father of William R. Dowd and his wife Susan of Wenham, MA,  Ellie Muter and her husband Stuart of Lexington, MA, Sarah Dowd of Cary, NC, Patricia Dowd of New Canaan, CT, and the late Dennis Dowd and his surviving wife Lucy of Lititz, PA. Bill is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Katherine, Victoria,  and William Dowd; Kayla and Thomas Dowd, and Henry and William Muter. Proud U.S. Navy Veteran; A graduate of The Taft School and Tufts University, Bill worked in the defense industry in Connecticut. His loving family and friends will miss his wit and dry sense of humor.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday January 24 at St. Brigid Church, 2001 Mass Ave. Lexington at 11am. Visitation also Thursday, immediately prior to the Mass, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 9am to 10:45am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
