Hooper, William G., Sr., of Lexington, January 15, 2018, age 94. Beloved husband of Catherine F. (MacGillivray). Devoted father of William G. (Adele) Jr., Bridgewater; Janice M. (William) Holland, Shrewsbury; Donna M. and Karen M. (Robert) Boudreau, Lexington. Adoring grandfather of Cheryl Stewart and Richard Hooper; Matthew and Timothy Holland; Kaitlin Boudreau, Anne Delaney, and Mary (Molly) Buchanan; great-grandfather of nine. Loving son of the late Harold E. and Margaret (Byrne) Hooper. Brother of Jean Krapohl of Bellingham and the late Harold, Margaret Hurley, Robert, Donald, Claire Richmond, and Eleanor Brennan. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Saturday January 20 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, 2001 Mass Ave. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4pm to 8pm. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the St. Francis House, 39 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116. Late member IBEW Local 103, Veteran U.S. Navy, WWII submarine service.
