LUND, Willis "Bill" 85, of Wayland, MA died peacefully on December 20, 2012. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Marjorie. Devoted father of Susan and her husband Steven Harrington of Westford, Barbara Lund of Newton, Linda and her husband Thomas Brownell of Shirley, and David Lund of Beverly. Proud grandfather of Eric Harrington, Aaron Harrington, Megan Brownell, Jacob Brownell, Jonathan Brownell, Amanda Lund, Madeline Lund, and Nikolai Lund, granddaughters-in-law Shandren and Brynn Harrington and great-grandfather of Stanley Harrington. He leaves a daughter-in-law, Carol Lund, one brother, Douglas Lund of Richfield, MN and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born in 1927 in Minneapolis, MN, graduated from Roosevelt H.S. and Dunwoody College. He spent three years in the US Army Air Force, serving in the occupation forces in Germany. His career was spent in paper sales management. Bill was a trustee of Gordon College, Wenham, MA for 31 years, and was actively involved on many boards including the International House (Boston), Vision New England, Scandinavian Living Center (Newton) and Sons of Norway. He spent his retirement years volunteering full time in pastoral care for Grace Chapel in Lexington. Bill loved spending time with his family, vacationing in Rangeley, Maine, Scandinavian flat-plane woodcarving, and water-color painting. A family burial was held on December 22 in Wayland. A celebration of life will be held in January_details to follow.
