Fitzgerald, Wilma (Quinn), born Holyoke, MA, Dec. 1, 1916, died Lexington, MA, March 21, 2011. Graduated from Bridgewater State 1936. Taught in Lexington Schools all her long career, first as an elementary school teacher and then as a math specialist. Married William P. Fitzgerald, a Lexington native, in 1955, and they were together until his death in 1997, 42 years. Active with her husband in Lions Club affairs and Garden Club. Survived by nephews Thomas Quinn of Philadelphia, PA and David Quinn of Nazareth, PA, as well as nieces Carol Quinn and Deborah Hamilton of Warminster, PA, and Mary Demaso of Lexington, MA, plus great nephews and nieces Amity Quinn of Waltham, MA, Emmi Felker-Quinn of Knoxville, TN, Ben Felker-Quinn of Amherst, MA, and Kieran Quinn of the U.S.S. George Washington in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday March 24 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 7pm to 9pm. A Graveside Service will be held Friday March 25 at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St. Lexington at 10am followed by a Memorial Service at Hancock Church, 1912 Mass. Ave. Lexington at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
